Lock 46

Mile 107.42 - This lock and lock 45 make up "Two Locks" and the lockhouse you see here served both.  The stone structure to the right of the lockhouse was the foundation of a crossover bridge that took the  towpath to the other side in preparation of entering the Potomac at Lock 45.
