Mile 12.28 - Old Anglers' Inn is a nearby restaurant but more importantly, it's the last major parking area before Great Falls which charges a fee.  This is the bridge from across the parking lot, early in the morning with fog still rising from the water.

Stop when you see this sign on MacArthur's Blvd!  The parking area is to the left.  It is also the start of the detour around the rocky area by Lock 15.  This is a very popular parking lot and despite its size, will fill up early on Saturday morning.  By 9 a.m., it's pretty much full and you'll have to pay to park at Great Falls.  You'll see a lot of kayakers here making the run between here and Mather Gorge.
