Mile 48.2 - The original bridge pivoted to allow clearance for passing boats. Now, the bridge is access from the town of Point of Rocks to the parking and fishing. It's only a single lane and doesn't look that sturdy, but it's safe to drive over.

At the end of this path, across from the pivot bridge, you can
see what used to be the home of the Shore Sisters. They had a lifetime
lease on the property which fell into the hands of the NPS when the park was
first created. When the lease came due (so to speak), the bulldozers came
and another historic home fell to the wrecking crew.

This was the Shore sisters' store in Point of Rocks. It used to be a great stop for snacks and refreshments but it's abandoned now (remember the lifetime lease came due?) There are still a couple of good places to fuel up though and Point of Rocks makes a good break stop.
