There's a skanky smelling creek in Germantown that was the site of a wheat mill, an important building to 19th century farmers. It was powered by a nearby stream, which is the kids favorite swimming hole. There's public and private swimming pools they can swim in, but they prefer the wildlife and rope swing here. Sometimes living in Maryland is like a page out of Huckelberry Finn!
